GIVEN (Gift of God)

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

This is for a challenge 'Out of the Box (Rhyme Challenge)' in my other site where the rule is to make rhymes at the START of each line. I made the rhymes both at the start and end.

YOU always give me the strength that I need
NO plan to surrender in sowing your seed

YOUR words are powerful as they lift up my heart
DOOR to a safe haven when the world sets apart

WISE you are but gentle, you never make me cry
NICE of you to remind that to love means not to lie

STAY with me, my dear friend, I need your mending words
DAY by day, each moment they're my defending swords

NOW you carry the cross taking the rough road to heaven
HOW you shower peace, hope and love, indeed you're a gift that God's given!

It is nice when I see someone who appreciates a loved one and what they do for them cause it seems rare these days.

Yes we should, sadly many don't.
Dhaye...you did it ! This is so beautiful. The picture you have chosen here is perfect. I have a word for that. Its like Moses standing in the mountain and pleading with God to spare His people. When His anger and wrath burned against them. When they made and worshipped the golden calf. God was about to destroy them and starts from scratch. But Moses stood in the gap and intercede on their behalf. And God listened and gave reprieved.

Dhaye sometimes it takes everything we got to risk everything. Even when we are the only one standing there - alone. I will still do it. I'll STAND IN THE GAP . It's not an easy task but I will still do it for my friends, for the people within my circle of influence. If you found the cure for cancer, if you found the cure for the most deadliest disease. If you found the answer and the only solution to all the problems in the world . Would you not share that to anyone you know ? especially to your friends and love ones ? Even if they first don't believe you, skeptical about you or might be offended by you or perhaps don't understand. Yes I will still STAND IN THE GAP . Even if you're the only one there. I will still do it ... Because you are a friend.
I will always treasure this piece Dhaye. Thank you for penning it for me .

A word of encouragement from 2Corinthians 5:18 " And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has GIVEN us this task of reconciling people back to Him. "

That was fantastic! Here’s my attempt. You may keep this tiny gift poem as your own:

Her God

She finds God in every drop of rain
be it on tall grass or desert plain.
We see symbols hatching from her brain
free of earthly ties and dreadful pain,
Tree-of-Life, a Garden on-the-wane,
Three-in-One is in her mind’s domain.
