MY ENEMY

MY ENEMY

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

you are

"

From the start, you were an enemy and I hated you a lot
You pushed away my loved ones and I want to spell you for that
You never cared for feelings because you don't have a heart
Many families were broken and your role was to set them apart

Every person, everyone has dreamed so much to have you
Parents were working too hard while children hate to see them go
A mother could be a theft  just to hold you with her shaking hand
Buy things cannot be provided by a father who knows only to demand

A brother could be a robber who wants to buy food for his siblings
Because their parents left them alone, they have to fly without their wings

A sister, a relative, even the old or a  young one

They could commit any mistake, even a crime is now for fun

Are you a curse sent by the hell just to destroy every good thing?

You smile to us, you’re inviting for everyone and make them sing

Pronounce your name, love and adore, and treated you like a queen

You hold each hand, the mind, the heart, and teach them to commit a sin

You laugh at every crime committed by a person you just driven

You’re like a snake, the temptation  from the Garden of Eden

And now your venom is spreading to the whole world, it’s alarming

While you greet everybody, your mind is secretly singing

You are so magical, so mysterious and powerful

You always look good and amazing, you are so elegant and beautiful

When you whisper all ears can hear like a trumpet played in tune

When you dance in front of men, expect that sins will be done soon

I hate you so much, my enemy, I have reasons here on my own

You broke my heart when my loved one stayed away when you have shown

How kissing you and loving you will give comfort, that’s what he sees

He doesn’t feel that you’re a foe, that you are here for us to tease

Now I’m sitting here all alone, looking around  in this strife

I want to tell you at this time,  you cannot control my life

You are an enemy, can you just go away from us?

Those words I want to shout to you, until the end, until the last!

I like your thoughts here Dhaye. The love of money is the root of all evil. There's nothing wrong having money but once it starts to possess us and consume us. And love money more than people and used people to acquire more money. Then it has become an enemy. If someone can discern that is what this thing is doing to them. Often times it blinded and deceived the person and they could no longer see that it already dominated and controlled their lives.

Some people cause misery just for fun, one do it to make themselves feel better bout themselves…. and when you turn their negativity into you hate or give them the time of day you actually allow them to control you.
