THE DANCE

THE DANCE

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)

Hon, I always wanted to dance with you
But you just  let me dance with my shadow

Every step I make, I feel you are there
Though even a little bit you do not care

Alas! I felt those warm hands holding mine
While my eyes are closed, I can feel the twine

Just to be surprised it is not you, dear
You are there watching, cannot hide your sneer

Hon, I always wanted to dance with you
But you just  let me dance with my shadow.

Love that opening and of coarse last line… some people don't know when they have a good thing right in front of them.

Well awesome work as always, was my pleasure.
Consistent 10 syllable and the rhyme. Meticulously done, dhaye. When we can dance by ourselves, it shows how independent we are. thank you for sharing.

Thanks, Gab. =)
A beautiful poem for the dance. The dance is under-rated. Good to know a dance floor and dance to good song. No weakness in the outstanding poetry.
