I Am Alone

I know

It was easy for me to love
So easy to trust
To see one's soul

But then

I realized
All these time
I am alone

I hate to think
I can't understand
Why this heart
Cannot feel anymore
I cannot trust anyone
These eyes cannot see souls

It was easy for me to love
So easy to trust
To see one's soul

But now

I only see myself
I can only feel my heart
I can only see my soul
I can't trust anyone

I want, but this heart cannot
Be the same heart anymore

And at times
I thank that I am alone
Coz I have all the time
To love myself

great song...and this poem makes so much sense...many can relate...that first love, that first marriage maybe...the idea of "forever after" "till death do us part"
and then suddenly the relationship has ended...and the idea of trusting love again...too much to fathom.
But if we are happy enough with who we are....if we love ourselves...that can be enough...
