Soldier

Soldier

A Poem by Diana Lynn Hill/Angell
"

Can you hear the Call

"
Previous Version
This is a previous version of Soldier.

Throughout eternity came the Call

From within the womb came the infant

From within the infant came the man

From within the man

Came the answer to the Call

As an ambassador of God he takes a stand

Against the ruler of darkness that invaded the land

Lead by the spirit seeking the soul of man

Proclaiming truth throughout the land

Lead by the Masters hand

As a solider he watches while others sleep

Listening for the voice

Of our Commander and Chief

In the sea of souls the battle rages on

A sword in his right hand up high he holds

A shield in his left pushing through as victory

 Unfolds

My Dear Writing Friend,
It would seem to me that this poem could have two ways to be viewed. Those active in the military and those active in the battle for the souls of man. With my overall impression of you and your ability to see the bigger picture my guess the latter of these possibilities came to your mind as well. Well written and worthy of a muse.

Blessings, Laughing-Bear

Your right, I love the Lord so much.
This wasn't what I expected Diane, but I love it. I didn't know you could write like this - you would think I would have known.
