Absolute

Absolute

A Poem by Scott Troy

Posit a question.
Breathe.
Simple and straightforward
A kind gust of wind
A gentle fair of silent adverbs and emotional attachment.
Final. Beginning. A stew of just what are we.
Fermenting In a brew
Long standing and tried
A carbernet of stray feelings
A sangria of maybes and promises
A single wine tasting that numbs the lips
Far cries
And the shake of your hips
The dichotomy
Two very different aspects
A fallout
Driven by what is an all out
An unaccountable doubt
Me feelings have never changed
I still view you through a diamond lense
Patient
Waiting
For you for to bend
A gentle question
A wave of love an indiscretion
I cry out
Fear
Pain
Longing
All i feel is you beside me
You take the breath out of me
This, my pledge to thee...

This was a very interesting weave of metaphor around wine and longing.. two things of which I am very familiar. Well, done, except, correct to “Cabernet”

Nicely done, I enjoyed the way the words come together and tell sort of a story...
