Forgetting...

Forgetting...

A Poem by E.j.aka.Hannah

I took a walk today,

Maybe I thought about you,

Or maybe I thought about our future,

Or maybe I remembered our past,

Maybe I forgot about his death,

And how the die was cast.

The roses are dying slowly and continuously,

So maybe we should stop and pay heed,

We should dry our eyes and our hearts,

And ride around town with the windows down,

We should scream out all our afflictions,

We should kill all our demons,

He's still there with us,

I can feel the hair blowing in my VW bus,

So no more tears.

I hate the chorus of this song,

But Ill sing along until the dawn,

Because its the only thing that keeps me from crying,

Its the only thing to keep my fun from dying,

So Ill keep up this tune,

As we run our fingers through the sandy dunes.

Some things we just can never get back. Like the touch of loved one who has passed, or the shattered piece of us they took when they left us here, broken hearted.

So sad, so beautiful.
This was written so well.

Blessings for your loss Hannah.
