Your Sole Reflection...

Your Sole Reflection...

A Poem by E.j.aka.Hannah

Ive got shoes on my feet and a single cigarrette,

Now is the time to be alive.

Freedom and peace are what the classic sing,

I just want to lose myself in Sinatra's swing.

He had tanned skin and a devil's grin,

His angel wings were covered by cycle leather,

But I could see right though his ruse,

This bad boy was into the blues.

The joker and the lawyer go hand in hand,

When the smoke has risen off of the land,

The rhyme doesnt end till the writers dead,

I could never have fortold where this would've lead,

But here I am,

A mear lion turned to a lamb,

I've never thought myself a murderer,

But I love killing time.

Nice almost like I somehow know you. last line reminiscent of Jim Morrison.

very talented
great connections
between images
contrasts
abstracts
and proverbial plays on words

This had a pleasant flow to it and I like the last four lines. Not bad at all.
