Dark Contempt --- Unfinished :)

Dark Contempt --- Unfinished :)

A Poem by Theodore Ramwell

It frightens me..

Dark Contempt

It frightens me

Its draining me

Its fighting me

Shush little baby, don’t you cry

I’m only here to say goodbye

Before that fateful day I lie

When I do I will eventually die...

A quiet nagging in the reeds

Oh when bleeds it bleeds...

At first ignored but eventually grows

Until uncontained it makes you fall

Down and down.

The pit of dark contempt

Where it lies

Festering and boiling

Over and over.

“Who’s there?”

‘Me’ a whisper from the wind.

“Who’s there?”

‘Me’ a whisper from the wind.

“Who’s there?”

I’m speaking in general when I say we must confront are fears with faith for many of us it becomes a dilemma because of all the unanswered question we must face however the internal battle, it is part of life, we must find the answers in order to be strong and grow in a more positive way.

ok, I 'm wondering how we got into the reeds and why its bleeding?.. emotions expressed , thats always good...fear of the unknown with emotions ..even better.. would rethink the haphazard toss of situation unless that was the idea, hap hazard.. good start

This is freaking amazing! You can actually feel the emotions come alive, in all truth we all face battles within ourself daily. This is geniously written. You're very poetic.

This is a fearful write. I love the ending, it sums the poem up well while still leaving the reader puzzling. Great.

This is a really good poem. I feel it is an eternal problem too...because fear can come from anywhere or anything. That is what I feel like. I thought the poem was nicely written though. Thanks for sharing.

Who doesn't have those things we fear...that make our blood run cold?
the things we hope we never meet, yet sense them behind every tree...
"Blair Witch Project" kid of spooky...
gotta go turn all my lights on...lol
nice job....
