For a contest, a fun write.

I am young.

So what?

Who cares?

Does that make me less?

No, never.

 

I am young.

See the strength?

I rise against the norm.

I am not worn.

I prevail.

 

I am young.

Look down on me.

Tell me I am less.

I know better.

I have worth.

 

I am young.

So are you.

So were you.

Remember the youth.

Now, forever.

 

I am young.

Strong, fearless.

A fighter.

So I say,

"Bite me, I dare you."

 

I am young.

Scared?

You should be.

'Cause I am me.

I like it, the pros of youth shine in its confidence. Short, simple, but thought provoking, too. I especially liked:

"I am young.

So were you.
Remember the youth."

Of course, it's difficult to remember so vividly once experience begins to creep its way through emotions and memory.

I espeacially like the use of popular dialect and this stanza
