Walking across water

Walking across water

A Poem by Muse

You are a mortal with an immortal's soul

listening...

to the platonic voices of reasoning

owning a conscience that filled you with clarity

confident hands that divided the seasons

composing...

words of symmetry and curiosity

revealing your awesome beauty and mystery

your two feet barely touched the dirt of the earth

you preferred...

to walk across water or walking on air

gravity seemed to move your energy elsewhere

the cosmos gifted you with a gratis life

you knew not...

how lucky you were and how lucky you was

to be weightless and do whatever just because

This reminds me of someone so close to heart and then so out of reach. Almost like a lover never touched. Of course I relate everything to my life because I'm selfish that way lol... but honestly it touched that part of me, that waits on the other side.. with arms wrapped around my knees and simply silent...xo "breathe me"... sigh

this is a mystical write....I really liked your view of this person. Some people just resonate an "other-worldliness" so I know how you feel, I just never thought to write about it. It also could be written with Christ in mind, when he was in mortal form. I could see Mary Magdalene writing such a poem!

OF COURSE! :p
Very moving, it could have been taken many ways, it made me stop and think about life, love and eternity. Beautiful pic that helps tell the story

Oh this is very interesting, at first I was taken by the awareness of this soul and then I felt as if I was a mature adolescent because that has been the only time when I could and did whatever I wanted just because. Then after reading it again I found a congruence that is blessed by the universe, which allows more insight and freedom to occur between souls. Especially when they are together. I cant help but think of a long distance relationship that is about to finally loose the distance and strive as desire wants in the bees hive. So honey flows and well as work goes to be rich in the ways of the soul. Lovely write! :)

systematic decisiveness, your words reflect commitment for the greater interest and pays homage to ethereal happenstance without repentance, beautifully envisioned, I like this a lot!

Beauty and happiness came to mind when reading your poem. Beauty means different things to different people, as well as happiness. While some are chasing their youth because they want to hang on with their beauty, many of us chase happiness and the beauty it brings, the quality that gives pleasure to the mind or senses. A very refreshing write, Muse.
