Drink Her

Drink Her

A Poem by Muse

Fair Goddess
hands stretched out
limbs wide open
honeysuckle vines
drink her

Crystalline glass
she'll fill it full
the intoxication
quenching a thirst
drink her

Fair Woman
a tree of life
dripping with rain
mouth wide open
drink her

Coil with her
vessel of breath
drunkenness
aperture open
drink her

To drink of life is to imbibe in the good with the bad - dripping with rain, when the earth is parched and one needs to be rejuvenated. To spend enough time to soak it all in, leaves one tired, almost drunken with the experience but it is then we are able to partake of the fullness of living - we must be totally spent out to fully appreciate the value of that which is so freely given!
Full of sensuality and LIFE!!

i love those sensual subtleties you insinuate! It keeps a reader enthralled and clinging to the next feast for the thought. Very well done! i'm impressed.

I really like this one, especially the last verse...I've actually read a bunch of your stuff and I've loved most of it...I haven't really left any comments just cuz you've already gotten so many and there isn't much else I can add review-wise^^

I like how you compare the woman to the tree of life. The use of the word aperture added a distinct flavor to that idea as well. For me it give the poem and the woman it centers around a rather luminous aura which we are able to drink and thus trace the tributaries of many generations back into time.

such raw and vivid feminine imagery, as if to compel you to take all that mother nature is offering, drinking the power of the goddess, surrendering to the temptation, to taste all that is wild and passionate and awaken such feelings in yourself, a request that cannot be denied.

i enjoy the way you craft such a visual language. My favorite "aperture open, drink her" I want to read more. :)

Perfection, Muse.
These words are a tide, directed by a moon in strong bloom.
You hold us wondering and transfixed, musing these powerful life giving portraits of emotion...
This piece was meant to be. Maybe I'm just obsessed with goddesses...
But, wow!
