Does he see her
the girl in RED
with a pretty head
not yet an adult
but already guilty
it's because she's a Jew
made ragged and filthy.
Can he save her
 no he cannot
your war she fights alone
uncertainty bestowed
innocent and forgotten
roaming around
her dinner now rotten.
Will he help her
perhaps so
with a one way ticket
her destiny awaits
a chamber of false hope
a showered genocide
made with hydrogen cyanide.
Can he feel her
cold soft baby skin
she's not hurting now
made forever young
poisoned little lungs
in this world
her life went unsung........

Oh this is perhaps the most painful part of that entire film. And he never even knew she was. Saddest part of all. This speaks to the innocence of so many lost to cruel tormentors. Evil which destroys beauty in the name of... I cannot even fathom the what. Powerful piece. And so harshly yet beautifully described. They all deserve this kind of tender remembrance.

I was in a good mood too, until you reminded me of all the things people do that piss me off! I did see the movie. I try desperately not to think about it.

Powerful, I have not seen this movie that inspired this tribute to the lives of those children who lost their lives from Hitler's deranged plan. We can not let ourselves ever forget that this happened so that it won't happen again. I read a book once in which the author was a jew in a concentration camp and survived. He tells his experience in detail. As you can imagine it is very powerful reading. Its called "Night" by Elie Weisel if you are interested in reading it.

Heartbreaking and beautiful, as always. I feel so far from qualified to offer any critique of your writing as I am such a novice in the art that you seem to have mastered.

Beautifully written about such a painful subject. Ignoring both movie and reality of what happened, and concentrating JUST on the poem, you have an exceptional flow here. The highlighetd sections are both headings and poems in their own right. Your phraseology is ssecond to none. I'll not often quote lines, but the phrase 'showered genocide' sends a palpable shudder through me. Contrast it with the entire last stanza that has a darkness and softness all of its' own.
A stunning write, beutifully and symapthetically handled. Stunning is not a phrase that does this poem justice, but it will have to surfice

It is so revolting and impractical, the way that we 'humans' treat each other. More is lost then gained, and more is forgotten by those who ought to be ashamed. Tragic. Great piece, highlights a very harsh reality.

:(

it is disturbing and sad how we humans treat each other like savage beasts...for the simplicity of recognizing and disgracing a breed mentally.
