I'm just a tin can

I'm just a tin can

A Poem by Muse

I'm just a tin can.
I'm telling you....
it was not part of my plan.
Tobacco chew,
with gum from your shoe,
caterpillars,
pencils,
left-handed scissors,
snails,
nails,
and yesterdays mail,
car keys,
bees,
the sand and the breeze,
mushy pears,
chocolate eclair,
now I hold a mint flower;
once placed in your hair.

I absolutely love this! Personally I find the creativeness sublime. What talent to take a little can that has sat in so many lives and give it voice. The can that has held the quill of the poet who with never a thought to this faitful conveyance spills the blood of their heart across paper then callously drops the spent scribe int it.

Ah the little tin can! I just love this!

Oh this is just lovely. You've truly taken an ordinary item and elevated its uses poetically. Just think of the things it has held! This is a wonderful poem.

Aw, I actually find the flow fantastic. A totally enjoyable and interesting poem. There was so much creativeness. Loved the imagery so much. It was a unique piece, to be honest. I've never read such topic from other writers. Missed your poems! Great job! :)

that was my aim...to take the mundane...and give it a title..a place...and a name. :)))
Now that was charming, and I loved the rhyme. I'm glad that you found me. You personified that tin can very well, and in a funny way.

What excellent thought...like a fall down the rabbit hole into a gold mine! So sweet off the tongue and into one's mind. Tin cans and cigar boxes have held all those things I once held most dear.

Most fun...thank you!

thank you..it's a secret favorite of mine too. :))
Rhythmic and brimming with imagery and texture. And the tin can reference, the play on it. It makes this reader think of more than few ideas on how that title came into existence, I dug this.
