Immortality

I never thought much of immortality

Until I met you

It seemed quite selfish

And irresponsible really

Fancy wandering around

Long after everyone's gone

Like you own the place

It's a little too Pretty In Pink

The rich guy has everything

And gets more

I guess

I'm still mad

That Ducky didn't get the girl

Now that I have you

Life seems much too short

And even though I believe

Deeply in heaven and angels

I don't know how long

We could live there

If it's not eternal

Could I stand to lose you

Again, now that I've

Found you?

Immortality doesn't seem

So foolish anymore

When you've got something

This good in your arms

It seems only human

To want forever
