Cigarettes

Cigarettes

A Poem by Hannah

There’s a bitter taste
Left on my tongue
From the cigarettes she smoked
I kept one of her packs
And smoked each cigarette today
Inhaling memories with each breath
But they faded away with the smoke
And now I’m left empty-handed
