You Are My Light

I look at you.

Into your deep loving eyes.

I think to myself, 

Wow. I really missed out when I hurt him.

I think this to myself everyday.

I've come to realize,

I am lost without you.

I can't find my way in life, depression, madness.

All of it.

It seems as if you are my light. 

The only way I can get through life without going crazy.

I love you.

I wake up every morning,

I think  about the day before me.

What it holds for me.

Your image comes up in my mind.

I smile and never want to leave it behind.

Afraid that if I do, 

then I'll never get it back.

That is when I come to realize,

I am lost without you.

Reality is scary. 

Im afraid that I won't be able to face the real world,

without you there by my side to hold me,

and protect me.

I love you.

You truly are my light, 

to the darkness of my life that lies before me.
