And don't forget to call Hillary

And don't forget to call Hillary

A Poem by hjcm

I need eight cups of tea a day
do let the cat out dear to keep my
nerves in check I must regulate them
to stop feminine hysteria
and make myself agreeable to
him garlic and ginger too chopped up
and oh I must do the dishes now
and start on those cinnamon biscuits
to go with the tea this afternoon

new curtains and I don't see why the
tablecloth is wonky dear bring the
shopping in the groceries will spoil
that crack in the ceiling no I don't
know when it appeared it might have been
there all my life when my fourth child was
born I had the midwife changed because
and no they just don't listen any
more price of raspberries in the autumn

I love this poem. Its kinda funny how you trail off into a new subject in the middle of a thought. i get it thought. I loved it ! I would love to see another poem written like this !

I read this three times over, and although all I get from this is the image of a naggy wife, I just kept reading it and reading it, because it was just. So. Captivating! The ending got a wee bit jumbled, but it was still very lovely. I don't know why. It must be that each line is a little story within itself, a single little line that paints a tiny picture, and all of these tiny pictures collide into one big...what's the word? Collage! Simply beautiful. 500/100. Into My Favorites it goes!
