Let Go.

Let Go.

A Poem by holly j

Sometimes I wish we could play pretend for a while,
Ignore the coming sunrise and be swallowed up in stars.
Laze and daze and be lost in what’s here, what’s now,
Forget the rest and play pretend for many more forevers.
Sometimes I wish I could replay it over again and again and again,
Memorise the movements and feel it so completely, without stop;
Have the swirl and spin inside me again and again and again,
The graceless swoop and cascading desire mask the lack of heart flop.
Sometimes I wish
we could hold on a little longer,
But you let go first anyway -
And now I want to wander.
