Alone

Alone

A Poem by Courtney Hough

It's almost that time,
the time I'm left alone.
But then again is anyone ever truly with me?
Physically sometimes,
the majority of the day no.
But the darkest place in my mind...
seem to reflect my physical world.

Hey Courtney, I love this poem...so much truth spoken in a few lines...I feel this way myself at times, even in social settings...that we are truly alone...I would love to feel shallow like most people but I know myself too well that I think to deeply...nicely done.

I love reading all these poems because I am constantly thinking and of course your poem obviously got me to thinking of "truly" being "Alone"

Because my mind is always racing and my body is always in pain between the two I never feel alone. A buzzy mind and aching body always keeping me company -- I would not know what it is to "truly" be "alone" meant.

The inner voice likes to speak. Alone I gather all to well but tbh within all those moments I never gathered what I gather today. Am I alone no:) For all I need is me to speak to thy self to say things and apply to such matter. Mind over matter meditation heals all things:)

Wonderful piece because it reflects the anxiety that comes with being alone. This is why we are so quick to reach for the gadgets when we are alone. I love this piece. Great job.
