White Knight

White Knight

A Poem by ~Blue Fantasy~

A love story unfolds....

I sat in the garden by the roses and watched the sun began to lower.

The vivid display of the sun’s last rays touched my silken gown.

My silken gown became a million diamonds on display.

At that moment I heard the sound of a horse galloping my way.

For I was alone and reluctant to stay.

But the beauty of my gown kept me there longer than I need.

For I looked up and he saw me.

Afraid, I looked at him and smiled.

My heart melted as I stared into his eyes.

He was a white knight who sat boldly upon his horse.

Not afraid to gaze upon my beauty, he jumped down and walked up to me.

Breathing hard, heart pounding as this white knight kneels beside me.

For he is sharp, stunning and flawless.

His eyes tender and his lips are smooth.

For I am locked into his eyes and can’t move.

He whispers to me in his deep pleasant voice,

“I saw your light along my way.”

“Have I found an angel with no wings?”

“Your hair flows like a fountain of honey, your face flawless and angelic.”

“ To kiss your satin silky lips would be such delight.”

I fell into his arms, under his spell for he was so handsome I couldn’t tell.

He leaned down to my lips, I gazed into his eyes and lost all my will.

I was not afraid and he was no stranger for somehow I already new him.

Memories of time flash through my mind and suddenly I remembered.

For he was my Prince in disguise.

Long ago on a cold December he was banished by an evil ruler.

He put a spell on the Prince and everyone that he knew.

The kiss must have broken the spell for he opened his eyes and stared.

He held me tighter and said,

”You are the one that I have been searching for.”

“My true love from long before”

We kissed again this time more intense.

A love lit long ago burned brighter within our souls.

He held my head and stared into my eyes.

For I knew it was time.

Gazing into my eyes he picked me up and sat me on his horse.

Smiling at me he jumped on and leaned in for another kiss.

I put my arms around him and held on never looking back.

Under the romantic moon lit sky that night we road away.

Forever in love a spell had been broken.

By a light that had drawn him to her.

For memories of her past had been unfolded.

That night in the garden as she sat by the roses.

A classic knight saves princess poem if I ever heard one. All the elements are right there in place and it does not dissappoint. I loved, no was totally envious of the line: "Your hair flows like a fountain of honey.." That imagery just hit me like a welcomed memory from my past. A great poem here.

really really good because immediately as you put in 'fell under his spell' you think you know he is going to be evil and she will die ect ect. your twist was great i really loved it.

Great poem! I love how it carries us away from our boring everyday lives and takes us into a land of fantasy and beauty. It's really refreshing to read something so unabashedly romantic in our era of cynics and pessimists, and I think there's a shameless innocence about this poem that creates a great escape from reality, an oasis in a magical wonderland. Your language is very pretty and really evokes the kinds of fairy tales we all grew up with. I think every woman in the world dreams of being in a poem like this... *sigh*

I loved it to. Everyone wants their Prince to find them. Sometimes he does and sometimes we only think he did. I like the spell cast broken theme. How he remembered he was searching for her. He somehow knew, but didn't. I loved this poem and you wrote it with such a touch of fantasy but it could really happen. Finding our soulmate, we just need a kiss to break the spell. :)

Loved it. I smiled the whole time reading this. It's a beautiful love story told in a short but sweet way. I could see this being a movie. And it would be just the kind of movie I would go see.
