Same Story, Different Day

Same Story, Different Day

A Poem by huma

very few write a story that is
through the eye
of the dreaming princess
the Beloved One
hidden high in the tower
or deep in the dungeon

don’t you wonder
about Her
and the stillness
of Her eyes?

She stitches delicate tapestries
prayers made by moonlight

She brushes Her hair
music is made in the vibration

She speaks to grateful birds
and honeyed fruit is carried to Her lips

She dreams the day away
and stars glimmer with delight

don’t you wonder
the reason

the knight in shining armor
is desperately longing
to find Her?

I do,
a dew,
adieu
