The Garden

Jealousy, hate, envy, and greed

The garden melts away the steam

Of negative emotion galore

There is now something better in store

The garden has roses and lilies and petunias

To which you’ll find every morning

Life is exuberant with this garden

Full of hope, love, and diversity

My life is made better with foliage

And vases filled with old clay

The garden represents my stored up happiness

Waiting to shine forth like firecrackers one day
