Hands

Hands

A Poem by hypochondrita
"

.

"

i’ve got many words

i’d like to say

but when courage strikes

they simply dissipate

some are too weird for you to hear

some i just forget

when maddening fear

takes over my head

same thing occurs

when i attempt to put you on paper

it’s almost as if your

charm is a delight only i must savor

can’t share it with anyone

can’t understand it myself

you’re the stars, the sun

and the moon as well.

I am very happy you are writing again. I love your work. When we hold love deep and we are quiet. We want to scream out to them. Some people excite our soul.

I loved the above lines dear Hypochondrita and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

The addressee must be a person to whom much feeling is devoted, possibly one who is loved from afar. The speaker desperately desires to communicate these feelings, but something is preventing that accomplishment. I would say it's probably fear of rejection.

I love your poem becuz you use a whimsical approach to describe the fluttering feelings one might associate with romantic intrigue . . . but this could also pertain to how one feels about the divine . . . or about one's pet. Your poem threw me into a deep reverie, remembering days of long ago when I would be completely "in my head" over a person . . . I believe most of what I loved was coming from my own head, not the other person. I imagined such whimsical ideas all the time, it was a huge let-down when I would actually get to know the guy & see what a dullard he really was. I think I'm better off writing poetry about feeling whimsical than actually pursuing a feeling as described in your poem. No wonder your narrator keeps this to herself. It's probably her own secret mojo! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
