Dancing In Despair

Dancing In Despair

A Poem by idiotproof--1
"

wrote while I was drinking so please ignore grammar

"

chaos dances with calamity

while depression dips sweet tragedy

gracefully waltzing with despair

talking to people who aren't there

listening to all the lies

ignoring all the cries

for help and pleas for death

running from the eternal depth

of all the madness all the pain

looking back at all the foes you've slain

you've come a long way

with nowhere to stay

nowhere to lay

to rest and call home

forever after on your own

I liked how you used the language. The words came alive and create dance, madness and positive ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

This is a really, really cool poem. I absolutely love all of the dancing imagery - those first three lines are awesome. "Talking to people who aren't there" and "looking back at all the foes you've slain" also stood out to me as intriguing and unique. Every line in this piece works well with the others to form an interconnected, well-developed picture of the many facets of despair. Excellent work!
