Green Antelope.

Green Antelope.

A Poem by Puja

sunday afternoon, its raining

and im waiting for you

the sun peeks through the clouds,

and makes its way down

pieces of our past find themselves hidden away,

but its nice to revisit them on a rainy day.

black V's slice through the dark blue,

sailing high above you,

as they follow the path that guides them home,

my eyes watch them dance and roam

the thunder shakes and alters my breathing,

while the lightning trys to stop my heart from beating

the storm is taking out its anger,

but i am not ashamed to be here.

wet and cold i lay alone here,

will you come, ive always wondered.

my hopes look tired and unfamiliar,

but ill still take my chances on her.

and while the water shapes my outline,

i close my eyes and find im still fine

after this it wont be the same,

but id lay here forever to wait out the rain,

because at the end of the day,

you and i are what remains

the water floods the land like starlight,

guiding color and sound through the night,

rising high above the mountains,

the people have long since forgotten.

when the sun finally rises,

its dances on a new horizon.

colors from an artists pallet,

look at Gods every talent.

Rising up from swollen lands,

i arise and take your hand

you said you'd never let us falter,

you our Blessed and Holy Father

The sentiments shown are quite deep, and soulful. Only till the very end the reader finds the true focal point of the poem. It might need some very minor editing as u mentioned... but on the whole a very fine effort. Cheers :))
