Pink Floyd Allusions

Pink Floyd Allusions

A Poem by Igor G. Balatsky

PINK FLOYD ALLUSIONS

*

Remember

When you [we] were young?

You [we] shone like the sun...

'Shine on Your Crazy Diamond' (1975)

*

'Obscured by Clouds' (1972)

Faraway sun

Is obscured by clouds

Autumn's in sorrow

*

'The Dark Side of the Moon' (1973)

One of these nights

I observed the dark side of the Moon

Looking for myself

*

'The Piper at the Gates of Dawn' (1967)

I heard the Piper

At the gates of dawn

Tune of my Lord

*

'Delicate Sound of Thunder' (1988)

Hearing the downpour

Delicate sound of thunder

Over my head

*

'Wish You Were Here' (1975)

Night's being reflected

In moonshine delight

Wish you were here

*
