The battle for life

The battle for life

A Poem by Iliaad Manaii

You kept endorsing me to fight

So hard, that you became the one

I fought against the hardest, yet.

Just want what's best for me, correct?

Albeit it makes you finite villain?

Albeit it makes me hate your innards?

Albeit I die in your arms begging?

Albeit I " PLEASE, let go! I'll take you!

I'll take you back, I promise dear!

Won't tell, won't run, won't cry! I swear! "

He says: To who? To who you swear?

I can't control to what you dare

outside my sight, when you walk free.

You break your word, they banish me.

Who do we pick? Myself or thee?

I cannot risk you selling me.

To them? They'll cage my spirit in!

You living is my constant fear.

No one will save you, nor shed tears

When they see you go down abyss

"Don't do it! Listen to me, plea…"

And just like that we gained our peace.

My mind, your soul. They're both at ease.
