We start our story at a quiet house atop a hill at the fringe of the forest. Small, yet warm and inviting, the quaint house held a family of five wolves; a mother, a father, and three young daughters. Accalia, the oldest, was eight, and had mystifying amber fur. Her gray-blue eyes were bottomless, pools of deep thought that no one could ever understand. Denali, the middle child, was seven, and was the rebel of the three. She too, looked liked her elder sister, but her eyes were a bright, startling blue. And Alana, the youngest, was six, and had striking black fur and deep, hazel eyes. The three girls were playing outside when their mother, Ephoria, called them in for dinner. Tramping in after an enjoyable game of freeze-tag, the young wolves chatted happily as they scaled the stairway to go wash their paws and clean themselves up for dinner. “Aidan” barked Ephoria as she began to set the table; Accalia silently came from the crowded bathroom and began to place silverware and napkins neatly on beside the plates. “What that, dear” a voice came from the upstairs bedroom. “Dinners’ ready” Ephoria replied as she grabbed a pair of oven mitts and took the steaming aluminum pan of lasagna from the oven and set it on the counter to cool. “Well now,” growled Ephoria happily as she turned and faced Accalia. “Everything is ready, so you can go and…” but three sharp knocks on the door interrupted her. “Hmm, I wonder who that could be…” Ephoria growled puzzled as she turned and walked towards the door, opening the door a crack.

Then, all hell broke loose.

The door was flung open as a big, brown male wolf shoved his way into the house; behind him was two other males, one dark gray, and one tawny colored. “You can’t just barge in here and…” but Accalia’s mother got no further as the brown male swung his clenched fist at her face, slamming it into her cheek, throwing her against the table; blood dripped from Euphoria’s mouth. Accalia shuddered and quickly ran towards the coat room, leaving the door open a crack to watch and see what these three strangers where doing in her house. Her mother still lay stunned on the table, her blood staining the once clean tablecloth. The gray wolf silently stole up behind Ephoria, grabbed her by her hair, and pushed her face down hard on the table. Reaching in his pocket, the male wolf pulled out a sharp, small dagger and slammed it into Euphoria’s back; she howled in agony as the dagger plunged into her body, over and over again. Accalia whimpered quietly, hot tears streamed down her face as she watched in horror as her mother’s body slowly slid to the floor, her blood a crimson halo around her head. Stepping over the dead body, the three male wolves made their way to the stairway, where they ascended the steps quickly and quietly. Accalia pushed the door open a little bit more and listened, terrified, as she heard her younger sisters’ scream in fear as two gunshots blasted throughout the house, then silence; two quiet thumps sounded above her head; Accalia stifled a sob of pure fear and sorrow and pushed the door even wider to continue listening. Muffled voices sounded above her, then, a loud “What the hell?!?” came from the master bedroom; her father came running out, his ears pressed back on his head in a threatening way, a growl sounded from his throat. The big, brown male punched her father in the gut, and then did a swift uppercut to his chin, breaking it with a loud CRACK. Her father stumbled to his feet, holding his cracked jaw as it swayed back and forth, whimpering. The tawny male then reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a .22 silver pistol, pushed the head of the gun hard on Aidan’s temple and pulled the trigger; the force pushed Aidan back and he fell, tumbling, over the stair rail, and landed with a sickening crunch on the floor below. “Now what, boss?” asked the gray wolf as all three of the males descended the stairs and into the kitchen. “We killed only four”, the brown male said, slumping against the kitchen counter, shaking blood from his foot. “HQ said that there was five, one of thems missin’, and we gots to find em’ and kill em’. Now, here’s the answer to your question, my idiotic friend”, said the big male. “We find the stupid f****r, and KILL THEM, you got that, moron?!?” he roared in the gray wolf’s face, spittle flying in the air. “Ye-ye-yes…yes sir, I un-und-unde…” “Oh shut up!” growled the leader as he pushed the stuttering wolf into the wall and began to shout orders to search the entire house. Accalia gasped and crawled back away from the door. “I got to get out here”, Accalia gasped as she searched for some form of protection, a knife, anything; she found a flashlight. Turning it on, she flashed it around her, (away from the door, of course). As she flashed it on the coats that hung up behind her, she saw something leaning against the wall behind the coats; it was an axe. “Ok, why is there an axe in a coat room?” asked Accalia puzzled as she took the axe and practiced swinging it, (note, she didn’t hit anything, just practiced). Then, she realized that the faint clip of light coming from the kitchen was blocked out by a body; the body was the tawny colored male. Accalia suddenly felt something stir deep inside her. The stirring grew bigger, stronger, and meaner. The stirring was hate, and she loved it. Hate, because of what those sick b******s did to her family, and what they will do to her if she let them. IF. She growled quietly and tested the axe a few more times; her eyes began to tinge red. Then, threethings happened at once. The coat door was flung violently open as the tawny male chuckled evilly and raised his .22, aiming it at Accalia; Accalia screamed out a blood-curling war cry and ran forward wildly, hair streaming, axe raised above her head; she swung the axe with all her might and buried the axe head into the side of the males neck. The male was stunned at first, then let out a howl of pure agony as he clutched the axe handle and tried to pull out the axe, only to make the blood flow increase with each tug; he slowly bled to death and sank to the floor, dead. Howling wildly, Accalia grabbed the axe handle and pulled the axe free with one tug; the bloodlust in her eyes, she ran screaming crazily at the gray wolf, who was staring in amazement (and horror) at what he’d just seen. His last words were, “Man, that’s one crazy bitc---“ then, Accalia swung her axe; the force of the blow actually slammed the gray wolf against the wall and pinned him into the side of the wall, (he was almost decapitated……almost…..). Panting heavily, Accalia turned slowly as she saw the leader of the three wolves; he was backed up against the wall, staring at her fearfully. “You killed my mother”, Accalia growled as she advanced on him. “You killed my father. You killed my poor, innocent sisters, but then, I got revenge. I killed your stupid friends, and now, “I’m going to kill you!” snarling, Accalia galloped towards the male, but then, he pulled a gun from his pocket, pointed it at her, and pulled the trigger; the gun jammed. Accalia lunged through the air, and landed on the wolf’s chest; he stumbled and fell. Snarling viciously, fangs dripping with hate, she plunged her teeth into the hazel wolf’s neck; he struggled wildly, but she wouldn’t let go. She bit hard on the jugular; he screamed and pushed her off, but the deed was done, his jugular was broken. Blood streamed out from his wound and he crawled along the ground, trying to reach the .22 gun lying in a pool of blood a few meters away, but Accalia was faster. She ran towards the gun, aimed, and fired; brains exploded all on the counters, the hazel wolf’s body slumped to the ground, never to rise again. Accalia howled her victory, it shook the house to its roots, then, the bloodlust left her body, and she felt suddenly very tired. Lying down on the kitchen floor, she curled up in a ball and sobbed quietly, then let it out with a cry so sorrowful, so full of pain and anguish, that it would kill you instantly if you head it. As she laid on the cold floor, her mother’s blood slowly began to form a thin little circle of protection around her, but still,

She was all alone.

The end.

Good so far. Maybe you should rate it mature if you think it's innappropriate . . . I like it. Descriptive, fast paced . . . a bit sad at the end, though not too heart rending.

You write a bit like I do . . . long, descriptive paragraphs with detail and action. Good to see I'm not the only writer like this here. Looking forward to your next work.

Sincerely,
Writer
