SO MANY FORMS OF LOVE

by Donna Marie Gray

It is my choice to love.

My love takes on so many forms,

one must view them closely to understand;

I love my husband with great passion!

I love my family with unconditional love.

I love my country deeply and with loyalty.

I love my friends, my pets, my surroundings

with respect and trust and an obligation

to be there in their need.

I love, with gratitude, those who have caused me

pain or disappointment because I have learned

many lessons through the years from them.

If it were not for them, I may have remained

oblivious to others who would wish me ill.

Thus, these many forms of love shape the me

that I have become.

This is a beautiful piece about the forms love can take and how out it shapes us throughout life. The different kinds of love have equal importance and equal impact. It made me smile. Good write.
