A Love Story Has Been Told

A Love Story Has Been Told

A Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS
"

Growing old together!

"
      Summer sunset dreams.
      Love written in themes.
      Sun melts into afterglow.
      An ocean breeze kiss,
      hearts reminisce.
Wind breathes poetic words that flow.

      Lives are old fashion,
      but still have passion.
      Carefree days cascade on waves.
      Youthful reflections
      mapped their directions
      Scented breeze of aftershaves.

      Eyes show contentment,
      never resentment.
      Two people show attraction.
      Wedding vows unbroken.
      Promised words spoken.
      Marriage is satisfaction.

     Wrinkles mirror love,
     bright as the sun above.
     Husband and wife growing old.
     Minds have grown dim,
     but life is not grim.
A love story has been told.

I agree dear Kathy.
"Wrinkles mirror love,
bright as the sun above.
Husband and wife growing old.
Minds have grown dim,
but life is not grim.
A love story has been told."
I loved the hopeful above lines dear friend and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are welcome, dear Kathy.
Yes Indeed youthful passion is bright like the sun, cool at times like the planets, but it is always there in a special way. As we age ,love is still there in a different way. We hold hand we kiss on the cheek, we sleep in our pajamas and snore our way to sleep. But love is also memories of what was in our earlier lives, and will remain.
Lovely tale.
Best, B

Love it. Truly spoke to my heart.
Folds of time line our face within the vision of love they are erased.

I enjoyed the rhyme scheme Kathy, quite unusual. A lovely poem about aging together gracefully and lovingly. Marriage with meaning.
