Lost At Sea(Creative Poetry Group)

Lost At Sea(Creative Poetry Group)

A Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS
"

A Young woman face life's turmoils.

"

She is lost at sea, a voyager over troubled water,

saturated in futility. Scars fashion her life, injuries

left with lingering damage to her aching soul.

Scenario of past events blind her.

Fluid of tears run down a sullen face.

She's covered in privation.

Born to parents infertile to love, peers

that made her life a living hell, a husband

that's abusive and destructive.

Inept is her life.

Cascading emotions control her.

Anger infectious as a disease.

Sadness gloomy as a rain storm

Hate as evil as satan himself.

A wirlpool of disrepute she floats in.

Erosion of her life falls at her feet like dust particles.

All dreams feel eradicated.

What she must face next is unpredictable.

She cries an ocean of tears, hoping to be

washed away by the tides that roll in.

Continous debris of fear trap her.

Tears splashing aimlessly diminishes bubbling hope.

Tranquil is invisible.

Her life is privy between her and God.

She prayes to see the light house of guiance,

but she's lost at sea, a voyager over troubled water.

A great job with this one...your writing has evolved so much since last I was on here. You did well, with some amazing descriptives, and a real feeling of her turbulent life and emotions is easily illustrated in your words. A few minor typos, but a very solid effort nonetheless.

Good job expressing the protagonist's grief.

I love the motif of the sea and how loss of love leads us to a loss of direction later in life. The sea is a powerful symbol of the unconscious, with its unknowable depths hiding any amount of turmoil under it ssurface, and you explore this very intelligently. Great write!
