Underneath Stitches Are Scars

Underneath Stitches Are Scars

Stitches blanket a torn body

A tapestry of wounds inflicted by life

Each illustrates a story of suffering

Crimson blood pools in inflamation

Lying words  of love

Never spoken in truth

Heart needs mainteance

Repair is nonexistence

Deception of beauty resonates inside

a cinderella's mind

Mirror mirror on the wall

Whose the prettiest one of all

Mimicks a dying soul

Crown of self respect tarnish,

falls like blacken ashes

Abuse covers her in blue

Tempestuous hands

Smoldering anger

Cuts to the core

She is broken, bleeding and alone

Betrayal of FAMILY, FRIENDS, the WORLD

Traps her in a web of repugnance

Looks upon her as nonentity

A person that should never have been born

Her heart is opened

A sign want you be mine visible

to all that will read

Stitches embroidery her exterior

Underneath scars that band her from healing

This is exotic and pure... Words fail me in trying to describe this. I mean you write words that convey to my soul and hold a high regard in spell binding artistry.

life is a battlefield of wounds...don't we all carry a few scars...nice work...

It's funny how scars can be the mark of a survivor and prove their strength to the world, but looks can be deceiving. Sometimes they can be a distress signal.

Well I think you was thinking with your heart dear.
Some wounds, scars are so deep that may never or can never be healed.
I kinda can relate to that a bit, my thing is since can not heal, I just push it off to the side/cover up the scar/bandage the wound. sometimes I am afraid of the end result though.
Very nice, well written/thought of piece.

A sense of what is seen and what really is going on...as in the inner thoughts, they cannot me captured by an outsider...such a nice poem...amazing :)
