I Stand in the House of the Lord

Listening for your living words

I watched and waited

My life is complicated

 

I stand here in awe

Of the presence of God

Wanting, feeling

As I look up through the ceiling

 

I feel your Glory

As I hear the stories

The Bible tells the truth

Of people like Ruth

 

There is Jeremiah and Mark

My Jesus you're the Spark

That sets my heart on fire

And it lifts me higher

 

Heaven isn't in space

But it sure is a place

Where God can rescue you

For his love is real, it's true

 

I stand in awe of you

For you are the truth

The love in all my heart

will never set you apart

 

For you have taken me

And baptized me

In all your love

And raised me above

 

You have taken me from shame

And freed me from a grave

Of total emptiness and strife

And instead you give me life

 

Thank you Jesus Christ

For giving me a life

Of total joy and peace

And a place for us to meet

 

As i am standing in the House of the Lord

I am growing in the word

Colassians and Deuteronomy

These teachings are for you and me

 

Thank you God and Jesus

Holy spirit i give my praises

For you i choose to honor

My Lord and Christ, My Father.
