This seat taken?

gonna try to write a few poems linked together to a common story dont know how this will come out but figured I would try something new

You’re the emptiness the world sings at night
wait that didn’t come out right
you’re what angels sing in the sky
wait that sounds like a lie
why cant you just be mine
I am so sick of trying lines

Can I just be holding you in my arms

Instead of seducing you with my charms

These words just cheapen the feeling

That my mind is still reeling

From the first time I saw you face

With all its beauty and grace

Damn it!! Why is this so hard

Why do I have to go the extra yard

Make sure everything flows

That not a single line goes

Without a partner to complete the thought

It just makes my feelings seem to rot

Enough of this poetic stuff

I have flat out had enough

I saw you across the bar
and thought the distance wasn’t to far

And thought maybe we could talk

That way I don’t have to walk

Home alone like I always do

I just wanted to try something new

So….. Is this seat taken??

this is excellant i love to read pieces that are raw and show the side that not many people are afraid to speak off. this was very discriptive, clear and concise. lot's of life to this. good imagery
