What is Love?

What is Love?

A Poem by Evita
"

My romantic notion of what "Love" is...I had a little "epiphany" one day...

"
Love,

Who are you?

Confusion, untangle your truths!

Some say you are the beauty
of aesthetic physiques...

No?  Do you say that is fleeting?

We do all end up old, wrinkled
with the smell of death
lingering on each breath we
expel.

So are you then the beliefs of a
contrary mind
certain one day, and gone the next?

Surely no, that too is  ever changing.

Love, you insist you are constant?

So then what must define you
if not that inexplicable connection
of two eternal souls
fitting each other?

Yes, indeed, that is

Love.

The modernists live their lives as if Love didn't exist, but I love nature too much to defile her romanticism. I liked this, it made me think!

You defined your thought... a fair argument given and taken

Gorgeous! Love is one of the most beautiful and brilliant human and animal capabilities. Love can be many other things as well though. Wonderful!

Very nice poem. I like the rethorical questions and the nicely chosen words. It's simple, yet vivid and profound.
