Projection

Projection

A Poem by Ksenia Kazantseva
"

in love with the idea of love

"
I've been craving affection
in any reflection.

A sign.

Of my soul's resurrection
and its need for attention.

A glimpse.

Into slight adoration
but mere infatuation.

A warning.

The closer to love I near,
their spirit latches on
and I disappear.

This is good work. Well done.

I think a lot of people who have come back from disastrously ended relationships will be able to relate to this in some form or another.

"I fell in love with love, with love everlasting,
But love fell out with me!"

That's what was going through my mind after reading this utter gem of a poem. The periods after "sign" and "glimpse" are not needed, given the following stanzas are as continuation of the thought; and by extension "warning" doesn't have to have a period either, but in this case, no punctuation is not advisable, given the following stanza isn't directly linked to the same thought....so maybe a dash or colon would be more suited here.

But overall, phenomenal progression, musicality, and.....simply fantastic!! Well freaking done!!

The rhyme scheme is great. Such powerful poem right here.
