A Poem by Ksenia Kazantseva
"

the answers will come

"
I am not whole but I am almost

My pieces are temporarily between stars.

When it’s the right time
A path will lead me,
And I will gather them.

It seems I stand in the direction of others
trying to locate their own.
I tell them to be patient,
I don’t hold theirs within me.

They move together in blind desperation
I see that they are lost too.

I wish I was among the stars
with my others,
shattered into many more.
I’d be spread across the entire universe
And that way I’d feel whole.

I’d signal to others the worth of being broken,
scattering fragments everywhere I go.

One day,

I will thank the heavens
for dropping each significance.

I, having aligned together perfectly -

My puzzle
All eleven pieces
With all my connecting ridges

- will finally feel like home.

Until then,

I am not whole but I am almost

Beginning - beautiful; middle - powerful; end - stunningly cathartic!! If I may be bold for a bit, I have two critiques to offer:

- Stanza 6 Line 1 gives a vibe that doesn't appear to suit the power and message set by the opening lines/stanzas, and it took me out of the magic for a bit. That "sometimes" wishing doesn't complement that knowledge indicating a path would in time lead "you" to "your" pieces - at least not in the way you're hoping it does.

- why eleven pieces? There's nothing in the poem that justifies the number. Fourteen, however, is justified, and it would be clever too.

But a stunning and beautiful poem overall. Well done!!
