Oriental Street

Oriental Street

A Poem by Cassia Sidra
"

This is, really and truly, a poem written specifically to ask if someone is gay. Written on request of Deci.

"

A town there lies, a little town

Where country roadways meet:

The washing lines are hung with clothes;

The fields are gold with wheat.

On one side of the avenue

The roads are straight and flat:

The other side boasts roads more queer.

(No issue here with that!)

A question's preyed upon my mind

E'er since we two did meet-

Which side would you more fain traverse

Of Oriental Street?
