The Thing Called "Me"

The Thing Called "Me"

A Poem by Infamous Real
"

A poem about me life right now...

"
The Thing Called "Me"
Busting some tunes but ain't got the time
Feeling quite tipsy like I had too much wine
So I'll just sit here quite like a talented mime
But deep down inside I'm feeling quite fine

Pockets are filled with a couple of bucks
Living between hybrids n' redneck trucks
Thinking the loneliness kind of sucks
Wanting to marry a girl in converse chucks

Sun's shining on me, but I like the rain
I spend too much time locked in my brain
Reading to learn, got something to gain
Tomorrow's purpose is the reason I train

The lights are green, but still seems red
Wondering if somewhere I've lost the dead
Keep look back despite what he's said
The tables still filled with forward spread

Worlds look to me as their inventor
But I'll stick around and be that mentor
Still on the outside finding my center
Believing life is some kind of venture

Desiring to get out and start flying free
I'm not really quite sure what I will be
Feel like a sapling instead of a tree
I don't understand this thing they call “me”
