Abrupt

Abrupt

A Poem by MCS
"

Death never takes the wise man by surprise; he is always ready to go. ~ Jean de la Fontaine

"

An empty vessel

no echo of life

pursed lips

Silent cries

a moment of grief and loss

flat line monitor goes dark

I'm not sure how to read this, but it seems like you are showing death by making this word portrait as lacking in life as humanly possible. Most people cannot peel it back to this level of severity, without attaching something sentimental or heart-touching. Honestly, I go for the stark approach. Prettying up death is gyrating thru illusions! I love your unique & powerful peek at death (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

but hopefully the soul goes to the light....let's hope there is one to go to.
so few words here, your brevity shows so much with less...
