Persistent Winter

Persistent Winter

A Poem by MCS
"

No matter how long the winter, the sun will eventually rise again.

"

 Cold north wind

Icy pellets raking across skin

Winter’s grip is persistent

Snow rarely came to Arkansas when I was a kid, but when it did, I'd spend the day outside, doing all the things kids do , building snowmen, throwing snowballs. With no decent coat or proper food in my stomach, I'd become an icicle by the end of the day, looking for shelter. In your marvelous painting, I see the warm glow of windows and houses through the trees. At last! I trudge toward what I hope will be a warm fire and food. I love your multiple talents.

Samuel, thank you for these very kind words.
Kids and snow make for magical moments.
Excellent brevity and work of art.
I enjoy them tremendously.
