Cheater

For those who've known it all to well.

Cheat on me once,

The shame is yours.

Life has been filled

With nothing but w****s.

Cheat on me twice,

And I'm to blame,

For not knowing better,

That you've stayed the same.

You look at me sweetly.

A kiss on the lips.

I feel your desire,

The swing of your hips.

But, it is not for me,

No, not even close.

It's for the man,

With whom you cheat.

And no one else knows.

Based on life experience. It's something many of us will go through, or at least know someone who has.

The choose of your words is amazing. Not your pencil, but your heart was writting it. The feelings you may have felt are so real and kept in your words, I really did shiver. Thanks. Yes, it did come from the heart. It's not just any poem that I wrote for fun. This has been inspired by the many real events me, my family, and friends have gone through. It does hurt a lot, and the pain remains longer than people would like to admit. I hope to keep writing things people can relate to.

It's tough, in general, to openly admit when we've been done wrong or have been taken advantaged of. Truth be told it's actually healing to get pain and sorrow out in the open. A poet's job in life is rewarding and at times not so rewarding as we carry the burden of expression of life. Well written piece, my friend and thanks for giving US a piece of YOU!

I know not everyone cheats :) It's just in my life, I have seen way more people cheating than I'd like, and it really is a sad thing that happens.

Yeah, they do and for some this is just a casual, normal thing. But, for me this is just completely unacceptable. I never understood how people could justify this. It is quite disgusting, honestly.

Cher, maybe I'm not thinking out every possibility. But, what could have been worse? Lol, share if you're comfortable with it. But yes, it is very painful, and if it could get worse than this, then God be with you. Some people may not be able to handle the pain.
