Just a short thing about one of my character's past

Why can’t I get enough of you?
You broke me, so why do I keep crawling back? 
I’m not your dog
I shouldn’t be drawn to you
Like a fish is drawn to water. 
I shouldn’t need you to breathe. 
What did you do to me?
What did you do to make me want you so badly?
And why won’t you make it stop?

Every time I show up at your door
You take me in with open arms. 
You touch me and I feel at home
You kiss me, and I feel whole
For the first time in forever, I feel whole. 

And then you toss me aside again. 
Why can’t I get enough?
Why can’t I stop?

Great write. Makes you feel like a part of the character. Makes you curious as to what story it connects to. Like, what is the story behind it?

I think I'll add a thing with his back story eventually, but the character had a girlfriend who completely broke him down. She used him, never loved him. But he keep coming back to her. He needs her more than he needs to breathe and he hates it.
