VoiceA Poem by Jack...We all have a voice, it is how we use it that countsVoice By Jack Ivey A device which utters concern Fluctuating based on an unjust situation Placed on waivers by its listeners An apparatus of defeat Loudly calling out the masses Objectively disagreeing with lesser known facts An instrument of sweet music Pleasant on a warm summer’s night Welcome when the last has yet to arrive A projector of light infused statements Glowing beyond the crowded square Offering solutions of a lost control A detonator of cataclysmic eruptions Lighted fuse shorter than should be Challenging deep within the lost fight A vehicle of driven desires Answers to a consistent common why Whispering softly through the summit of dreams A loaded gun, cocked and ready Shooting off whenever least expected Killing even the best intentions A conduit of reason Soothing in outward stances Shelter in which one can rest, peacefully Voice © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
