Aftermath

Aftermath

A Poem by Jack...
"

What is left but loneliness?

"

Aftermath

by jack

The silent sun

was bright this day,

my mind

was in a fog

Its brilliant light upon the world

did send

So beautiful

this morning light,

but deep

inside my heart

The pain of losing love

comes once again

I did the best

that I could do,

though once again

I see

I’m left to cry these tears of

constant fall

This circle of

disparity,

I seem to

wander in

Does follow me now

everywhere I go

My eyes are open,

I can’t see

As no one is

around

I’ve no direction on this

followed path

Crumbling,

my world it does

The loudest awful

sound

Now here I stand within its

aftermath

Thank you so much.
I had to read this more than once because the format isn't something with which I am familiar...but once I recognized the flow of the piece, I got into the rhythm of the thing and it flew off my tongue. Superior write.

Very sad and painful, the most terrifying pain is the loneliness

Indeed Nick you are correct. Thank you so much.
So full of sadness Jack and echoing with the despair of losing what could have been. Loneliness can be a terrible burden to bear. A beautiful heartfelt write.

I love reading your work Jack.
A well spoken metaphor for a certain mood shape here Jack,

"I’ve no direction on this
followed path"

I guess you have, when you listen clearly to that musical heartbeat of yours :)
It shall always be the compass of life.

Beautiful....
