Here lives your museA Poem by Jack...I know it lives around here somewhereHere lives your muse It lies within an envelope of pure unspoiled silk Ever at the ready if the need it does arise Patterned after lily pads a’ float a’ top the pond Clearer than the sun prepares the early morning skies ~ Into my life it follows me as if I weren't alone Calling to the memories that rest inside my mind Posing lengthy questions with an answer never found Standing in the doorway as if waiting there to find ~ This will be the spirit that does guide me to my post Invisible to every eye except these on my face Tossing thoughts into the wind to see where they may land Humorous in attitude but serious in pace ~ Cunning as a shifty fox that roams the forest green Playing in the fallen leaves we've piled near the path Slippery as lilac soap that scents the afterlife Laying in the bottom of the hard ceramic bath ~ A knock upon the gate does find an open metal latch Hinges caked and rusty to the point that they are loose Frosting on the layers of the pickets painted white A tiny sign with lettering that reads “Here Lives Your Muse” © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
