Hey cancer

Hey cancer

A Poem by Jack...
"

Written for my good friend Holly. Run Holly run

"

Hey cancer

Hey cancer,

why don’t you look over here

leave Holly alone

did I make it clear

I’m bigger than her…

I’ve got much more meat on my bones

I’m waving my arms,

blowing a horn

out here every night

and every morn

I'm talking to you…

there’s no need to call on the phone

Hey cancer, why don’t you leave her alone

She’s living her life,

she doesn’t need you

with two teenage girls

she’s got so much to do

I’m taking her fight…

I’m standing out here on my own

Now run Holly run,

it’s staring at me

there’s no looking back

I’m all it can see

I’ve distracted it now...

I’ll keep it from finding your home

Hey cancer, why don’t you leave her alone

Jack you're the sweetest friend one can have... this is truly a great support to our Holly, and to give her some smiles, through a difficult periode. I so admire that. Thank you for doing so... and Holly, there comes a time, when things get better, there always comes... much love to both!

You're most welcome, my friend. This was touching.
I am so touched I don't have words to express how much this writing has impressed me. I always knew you to be kind, caring and friendly, but you go way beyond that. May God bless you and yours always. And I can say with confidence that evil scourge is not coming anywhere - either near Holly or You!

Such a lovely tribute to Holly, my friend who makes my days with her wonderful and funny poems. I hope she gets to read this and runs from this horrible disease.

This one seriously brought tears to my eyes, Jack. You have such a kind and giving heart...and what a beautiful poetic tribute. I have felt this way before...as cancer has touched the lives of many that I have known; it is the ultimate bully. I want to send a virtual hug to you and to your friend!

This is great, a true gesture made by a friend who cares. I know that I would gladly take Holly's cancer for her if I could, too. Well done!

I didn't know Holly was fighting this battle! That b*****d, Cancer, cannot have her! Holly, if you read this, 'We have your back, girl! Fight, fight, fight!' Nicely done, Jack. Angi~
