Final Memory

Final Memory

A Poem by Jack...

When

death on darkened skies

through my window

flies

My

wish in pleading sighs

is that before my

eyes

Your

face is what I see

of this last breath I

breathe

So

nothing else shall be

my final

memory

Lovely, Jack. But don't think about dying so soon, okay? I'd love to read more of your poems. ;)

It is melancholy sad but look. This one is shelved in 5 libraries. This piece could be so priceless that some reviewers saved it in 5 different places. This is a very nostalgic piece Jack and the picture is perfect, complimenting your piece.

somehow Sad, the thought of death, losing loved ones makes me so sad. Your poems my dear king of romance can take you to a very good place or to a very sad place, I like the way you capture your readers emotions and you got me in this one. As usual I enjoyed it

Always I am thrilled when you come to visit my friend. Thank you so truly for your kind words to me... read more
I am a sensitive person to put it lightly, and this piece nearly had me in tears, perhaps because I've lost a slew of relatives in the past decade, many due to illnesses beyond their control, including my Dad last year. It feels like it never ends, and I am all-too-aware of my own mortality as a result. But I don't wish to overwhelm this review with my own life story and bring you down when I'm really trying to praise you and your poetic gift. This is still an undeniably beautiful piece, and in spite of the aforementioned events, I took a sense of hope and optimism from it. I am not a preacher, but I don't believe in the notion of a permanent goodbye, only unwanted hiatuses from loved ones while we await our turn to reunite. A truly poignant piece my friend. You've said so much with so little here.
