Coded Emotions

Coded Emotions

A Poem by Jack...

Coded Emotions

Like Morse code on dampened glass,

raindrops form a weathered phrase

interpreting this broken heart now

dripping in endless sorrow

of un-breathing days wasted

on paned emotions

Even the midday sun

briefly pushing away clustered clouds

can not erase the stains

streaked of weeping moments,

salted in so many fears

and wonderings…

Shattered, lying in pieces,

transparent mosaics of jagged will

cut deep and wide on this tired skin,

bleeding out in pools of disgrace

as I translate the moistened dots and dashes

to find that they merely ask…why?

Thanks so very much Angel. I am thrilled you liked this.
Wow. This is so deep. I read it twice it was so beautiful... It's true rain is considered a symbol for when someone's heart is in pain but this just takes it one step further!

Thank you so very much my friend.
The shortest of questions, with always the most complex answers... Sorrow from your depth, Jack...

Your opening lines danced round my head a bit, and led to this:

Like Morse code on dampened glass,
raindrops form a weathered phrase
cryptic lyrics keep the beat
leading through the tearstained maze...

Thanks so much Raymond.
Does nature tell us what to fear...what to dread? Coded messages from raindrops are read only by those for whom they are intended...I am convinced of that. A poem that bares deep emotions....raw and honest! Written from deep down in your soul, Jack. Lydi**

My sweet, dear friend - my heart is breaking reading this poem right now... My eyes are filled with tears ready to fall but I know that no matter what happens there will always be someone there to pick you up and bring out that smile again, doesn't ease the pain in this poem but at least the sun is shining a little bit. :-)

I loved this one my sweet friend, although my tears are about to fall....

I really like this theme and how you relate the raindrops and window to heartbreak and the emotions that come with it. Very creative, Thank you.
